Easy Run with Chris

I may not post every day.

I may not run or exercise every day.

I am not giving up though. I need to do this for my sanity and my waistline.

I’m also glad Chris is on board. He agreed to run 2 days a week with me during the week, at night. I don’t like to run my neighborhood in the dark. So, that keeps me going 2 days and then I meet up with Keith on the weekends for my long run.

I am following a plan I found online - another well known one that I can’t remember where I found it - but it’s like I run 4 miles one weekend, then 8 the next. It’s a weird plan with 3 runs a week and more kind to my knees. I have never tried this "type" of plan before, but I’m down for something new. I used to run 4-5 days a week and build up, etc… The usual. Time to try something different and see how it works with my wacky school/work/photography schedule.

Oh yeah… and we had Black Bean Burgers tonight. I screwed up the recipe in using soaked dried beans (instead of canned) and didn’t cook the beans first to break them down a bit. You live, you learn. Next time they will taste better. I can promise that!

And… Chris ate them - ‘nough said. He may have eaten them fast, but he ate them all the same. He’s trying and I appreciate it. I really really do. More veggie meals are on the way. We’re just trying to limit meats to 3 days a week and see how we fare. I am sure we won’t waste away!

Have a good night :)

Your BB Burgers sound adventurous!! Tonight (so far) I had a slice of cheese. I’m a bachelor many nights a week while the hubster works on a project… so my dinners are less-than exciting. Often it will be a protein shake. This week I got all wacky and had cauliflower dipped in hummus. In fact, that sounds yummy and I think I’ll finish it off tonight. Sooo, your culinary prowess inspires me!!

I used to do that a lot when Chris was out and busy. We’re trying harder to have sit-down healthy meals together. Sometimes it’s tough and I just want a protein-shake for dinner! Less thought :)
